The area of the Mühlviertel and southern Bohemia is characterised by an outstanding density of Gothic buildings, monuments and works of art . Already 25 years ago, attempts were made to make these treasures accessible to tourists with the Mühlviertel Gothic Route. A joint cross-border project is currently being realised to bring this tourist offer into line with the needs of today's cultural tourists. This involves the further development of 30 sacred Gothic stations in the Mühlviertel region with around 20 in South Bohemia, taking into account the digital transformation to create the Gothic Route Mühlviertel-South Bohemia. Under the leadership of the Mühlviertler Alm Freistadt Tourism Association, a project was developed together with the Mühlviertler Alm Association, the Mühlviertler Kernland Regional Association, the Bishopric of Budweis and the South Bohemian Tourism Centre, as well as with the expert assistance of the Province of Upper Austria Culture and the Diocese of Linz, which is now being implemented as part of the Interreg programme.
The project will run from 1 January 2024 to 30 June 2027. Tenders, awards and commissions will be carried out in accordance with the 2018 Federal Procurement Act (BVergG 2018).
For the realisation of the project Gothic Road Mühlviertel - South Bohemia (AT-CZ) Gotická stezka Mühlviertel - jižní Čechy (AT-CZ), project number ATCZ 00122) various external services are required.
